Are you new to information governance or looking to refresh your knowledge?  We think our introductory level courses are a good fit for you!

Both of this month’s spotlight courses both provide delegates with foundational knowledge of the subject area as well as skills which delegates can take away and apply within their role in their workplace.

As with all of our courses we set the maximum capacity of attendees to eight.  Our reason for doing so is that we like to keep our live training sessions as interactive as possible and encourage delegates to participate through open discussion and collaboration.  Of course, we only expect delegates to participate where they feel comfortable to do so.

So, let’s take a further look at these courses:

Introduction to Records Management

This course is suited both to those who are completely new to the field, and those who have some exposure, albeit minimal.  You will cover the basic concepts of records management, whilst being afforded examples of practical application to help you put the theory from your course into practice.  So, let us teach you how to help your organisation reduce risk, increase value and improve performance and compliance by improving how you and your colleagues manage the organisations information and records.  Attendees will also be issued with a digital badge of achievement, which can be displayed on their socials, or used to track your training achievements.

This course is delivered by FYI over two half days, typically from 09:30 to 13:00.  Click here to book.

Introduction to Scottish Freedom of Information

This course is designed to assist those who are new to the subject area and are tasked with working with the Freedom of Information (Scotland) Act 2002 and Environmental Information (Scotland) Regulations 2004, both of which create a unique range of obligations for Scottish public authorities to adhere to.  The course will be of particular use for those who have a responsibility within their organisation for receiving, handling and responding to requests.  For a more in depth look at how to handle a request we have a course specifically designed to cover this topic, our Handling Data Subject Access requests which is attended live, or it is also available on demand.  Attendees will also be issued with a digital badge of achievement, which can be displayed on their socials, or used to track your training achievements.
