Do you work in data protection within the palliative care sector?
You may be eligible if you are:
- A Caldicott Guardian
- A data protection officer or records manager, working in a hospice or other third sector palliative care services (employed or voluntary)
- In another employed or volunteer role within third sector palliative care services, with demonstrable data protection responsibilities
What is the offer?
If you work in one of the roles outlined above, you may be eligible for a fully funded or heavily subsidised place on one of our attended live online or on-demand training courses, including:
Beginner
- The Essentials Bundle: Data Protection, Freedom of Information and Records Management (online on-demand)
- The Essentials Collection: Information Governance for Board Members (online on-demand)
Intermediate
- BCS Foundation Certificate in Artificial Intelligence (online live attended)
- BCS Foundation Certificate in Data Protection (online live attended or online on-demand)
- Handling Data Subject Access Requests (online live attended or online on-demand)
- Conducting Data Protection Impact Assessments (online live attended)
We are also offering dedicated workshops for the palliative care sector, attended live online, running 1330-1630:
- 6 October: Data Protection – the basics for palliative care organisations
- 7 October: Being a Caldicott Guardian in a palliative care organisation
- 20 October: Handling Data Subject Access Requests in a palliative care organisation
Advanced
- Tkm Certificate in Managing Data Protection Compliance (online live attended)
- BCS Practitioner Certificate in Data Protection (online live attended or online on-demand)
For online on-demand courses, you will be given access once your place is confirmed.
For attended online courses, we will offer you a place on a specific date, but we reserve the right to transfer you to the next available course date should the need arise.
How are we able to offer free training?
For every booking we take on our attended live courses (public and in-house), and our online, on demand Practitioner and Foundation courses, Tkm Consulting & Associates put 10% of the booking value into a designated fund. This fund is used to support the fully funded or subsidised training for practitioners in the palliative care sectors.
The small print
In order to be eligible for our fully funded or subsidised training:
- You must hold one of the roles listed above, or similar
- Your role can be as a paid employee or a volunteer
- You must have data protection responsibilities for the organisation
- The organisation that you represent must be a member of Hospice UK
- We will require proof that you and the organisation that you represent meet the above criteria
