Course Content
Modules 1 & 2
Module 1: Looks at the context of data protection and the scope of the GDPR as well as the role of ICO, related offences and the key definitions.
Module 2: An introduction to the Data Protection principles, looking at the lawful bases, special category personal data and criminal offence data.
Modules 3
Looking at the rights of the data subjects including the transparency of information, communication and modalities of these rights. The provision of information and the other rights afforded to the data subject.
Modules 4
Responsibilities of the controllers and demonstrating accountability; information security; data protection impact assessments; Data Protection Officer; Transfer of personal data to third countries or international organisations; relationship with processors and an overview of applying legislation with codes of practice which related to marketing, managing employees, monitoring or staff and information sharing.
Revision and Examination
Revision for the exam consists of a practice examination paper with the answers included. The exam is invigilated by the team at Tkm Consulting and can be arranged for a time that is convenient for you.
