Course Content
Unit 1: Data Protection Compliance
This unit is designed to equip candidates with the basic knowledge of data protection and associated legislation applicable in the UK. On successful completion of this unit, candidates will be able to apply their knowledge to simple scenarios.
1. Demonstrate an understanding of the development of data protection laws in the UK
2. Demonstrate a basic understanding of key parts of data protection and associated laws applicable in the UK.
3. Demonstrate an understanding of data protection and associated laws that apply to simple scenarios.
Unit 2: Applying Data Protection Law in Practice
This unit is designed to enable candidates to apply data protection and associated legislation in a range of scenarios and provide candidates with the skills to manage compliance. Candidates MUST have completed the Certificate in Data Protection Compliance as noted above.
Upon completion, candidates will:
1. Be able to demonstrate an understanding of the practical application of data protection and associated legislation laws in a range of complex scenarios.
2. Be able to demonstrate an understanding of managing data protection and legislation
3. Be able to demonstrate an ability to manage the risks associated with handling personal data.
Unit 3: Managing Practical Data Protection Compliance
This unit provides candidates with the opportunity to demonstrate their ability to manage risks associated with personal data in an organisation context.
Assessment
Candidates much achieve a pass mark 50 out of 100, 50%.
