The objectives of this course are to:
- Understand how to assess, measure and prioritise data protection risks in the context of their own organisation
- Be familiar with tools and techniques that can be used to plan and conduct compliance audits
- Be able to critically assess the effectiveness of data protection controls

Please note that attendees will require a good understanding of data protection law and how it is applied in an organisational context to achieve the learning outcomes.

Conducting Data Protection Impact Assessments
The objectives of this course are to:
- Understand the requirements for and benefits of a DPIA
- Recognise and appropriately complete the steps in conducting a DPIA
- Critically assess and improve DPIA templates
- Understand the roles of the Data Protection Officer and other stakeholders in the DPIA process

- Understand the concept of risk and how it relates to managing data protection compliance
- Be familiar with tools and techniques that can be used to manage risk
- Be able to identify, assess and evaluate simple risks
