Tkm’s Training Courses
Tkm offers a range of data protection training with qualifications at 3 levels that focus on practical implementation. The qualifications are certificated and quality assured by the SQA, one of the UK’s qualifications regulators. These include a Certificate in Managing Data Protection Compliance, ideal for DPOs or those responsible for managing data protection, and a Diploma in Managing Data Protection Compliance.
We are approved by the BCS to offer the Practitioner and Foundation certificates in data protection, and are proud to be an approved training partner of the IRMS.
We also work with For Your Info to offer an extensive portfolio of information governance training. These are ideal as continuous professional development courses, all of which are recognised by badges of achievement.
Tkm offers other courses certificated by REHIS (the Royal Environmental Health Institute of Scotland), and SQA.

Supporting the Trussell Trust
We raised an amazing amount of almost £4k last year for the DEC Ukraine appeal through your support. Thank you! This year, Tkm’s and FYI’s chosen charity is the Trussell Trust, an organisation that supports food banks across the UK.
For each person who books a full or half-day course we pledge £20; for a three-day booking it is £35 and those who book the practitioner level course we will donate £50.

Certificate in Data Protection Compliance
A one day course suitable for raising awareness about the GDPR. It may also be useful for those who have some data protection responsibilities. Certificated by the SQA, SCQF level 6.
Certificate in Managing Data Protection Compliance
A 5 day course suitable for those responsible for managing data protection compliance and covers the practical implementation of the GDPR. It may also be a suitable qualification for those designated as Data Protection Officers. Certificated by the SQA, SCQF level 8.
Diploma in Managing Data Protection Compliance
Available to those successfully completing the Certificate in Managing Data Protection Compliance, and awarded following the completion of a 6 week work-based project. Certificated by the SQA, SCQF level 10.

A one day course helping those responsible for managing compliance assess levels of compliance within their own organisation.
Assessing and Managing Data Protection Risks
A half day course to help those working with data protection appropriately recognise, assess and manage risks associated with data protection.

BCS Practitioner Certificate in Data Protection
Designed for candidates with some existing data protection responsibilities, wishing to gain a broader understanding of current laws, including the GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.
