Certificated Practitioner Courses
Tkm offers certificated practitioner courses in data protection with an FOI certificate coming soon. Tkm’s qualifications are certificated and quality assured by the SQA, one of the UK’s qualifications regulators. These include a Certificate in Managing Data Protection Compliance which is ideal for DPOs or those responsible for managing data protection and a Diploma in Managing Data Protection Compliance.
We are approved by the BCS to offer the Practitioner Certificate in Data Protection, and are proud to be an approved training partner of the IRMS.
We also work with For Your Info who offer practitioner certificates in both records management and FOISA.
Courses
Certificate in Managing Data Protection Compliance
A 5 day course suitable for those responsible for managing data protection compliance and covers the practical implementation of the GDPR, as well as the relationship of data protection compliance with information governance and managing risk. It may also be a suitable qualification for those designated as Data Protection Officers. Certificated by the SQA, SCQF level 8.
Diploma in Managing Data Protection Compliance
Available to those successfully completing the Certificate in Managing Data Protection Compliance, and awarded following the completion of a 6 week work-based project. Certificated by the SQA, SCQF level 10.
BCS Practitioner Certificate in Data Protection
A 5 day course designed for candidates with some existing data protection responsibilities, wishing to gain a broader understanding of current laws, including the GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.
BCS Practitioner Certificate in Freedom of Information
A 5 day course covering the key requirements of freedom of information legislation. This course is usually delivered in house.

All courses and training will offer a very practical insight into compliance with the UK GDPR, Data Protection Act 2018 and other associated legislation. Courses will provide you with tools and resources that you can take away and implement within your own organisations.
